Rule 503a.
(1) An
installer and servicer shall warrant that a new home is free from failures to
conform, as defined in Part 3282 - manufactured home procedural and enforcement
regulations promulgated under the national manufactured housing construction
and safety standards act of 1974, which occurred during the installation of the
home. This standard is adopted by reference in
R
125.1408.
(2) An installer and servicer shall warrant
that it shall take appropriate corrective action at the site of the home for
breach of its warranty obligations that become evident within 1 year from the
later of the date of the completed installation or purchase. However, the
purchaser must give written notice to the manufacturer, retailer, or installer
and servicer not later than 1 year and 10 days after date of completed
installation or purchase.
