Mich. Admin. Code R. 125.1944 - Setbacks from property boundary lines
Rule 944.
(1)
Homes, permanent buildings and facilities, and other structures shall not be
located closer than 10 feet from the property boundary line of the community or
home condominium and shall not be required by a local ordinance, unless
approved by the commission, to be more than 10 feet from the property boundary
line.
(2) Homes, permanent buildings
and facilities, or any other structures that abut a public right-of-way shall
not be located less than 50 feet from the boundary line. If the boundary line
runs through the center of the public road, then the 50 feet shall be measured
from the road right-of-way line. Homes, permanent buildings and facilities, and
other structures shall not be required by a local ordinance to be more than 50
feet from the boundary line, unless the commission approves the ordinance. This
rule does not apply to internal roads dedicated for public
use.
