Mich. Admin. Code R. 247.227 - Performance bonds
Rule 27.
(1) A performance bond shall be required by a permit which is issued for construction or reconstruction of a commercial driveway to protect the department against the cost of completing construction or correcting deficiencies. A reasonable amount of coverage of the bond shall be determined by the department. A bond shall not be required from a governmental agency.
(2) Acceptable types of bonds may be a certified check or money order payable to the department or a surety bond executed on forms obtainable from the department.
