Mich. Admin. Code R. 299.4135 - ASTM standards; adoption by reference
Rule 135.
(1) The
following ASTM standards are adopted by reference in these rules:
(a) D422-63(90), test method for particle
size analysis of soils.
(b)
D698-91, test method for laboratory compaction characteristics of soil using
standard effort.
(c) D1557-91, test
method for laboratory compaction characteristics of soil using modified
effort.
(d) D2434-68)(94), test
method for determining permeability of granular soils (constant
head).
(e) D2922-96, test method
for determining the density of soil and soil aggregate in place by nuclear
methods (shallow depth).
(f)
D2487-93, classification of soils for engineering purposes (unified soil
classification system ).
(g)
D4318-95a, test method for liquid limit, plastic limit and plasticity index of
soils.
(h) D5084-90, test method
for hydraulic conductivity of saturated porous materials using a flexible wall
permeameter.
(2) The
standards listed in subrule (1)(a) to (e) and (h) of this rule are available
from the American Society for Testing and Materials, Sales Service, 100 Barr
Harbor Drive, West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania 19428, at a cost as of the time
of adoption of these rules of $18.00 each. The standard listed in subrule
(1)(f) and (g) of this rule is available from the American Society for Testing
and Materials, Sales Service, 100 Barr Harbor Drive, West Conshohocken,
Pennsylvania 19428, at a cost as of the time of adoption of these rules of
$21.00. The standards listed may also be obtained from the Michigan Department
of Environmental Quality, Waste Management Division , P.O. Box 30241, Lansing,
Michigan 48909, at a cost as of the time of adoption of these rules of $18.00
and $21.00 each, respectively. The standards adopted in this rule are available
for inspection at the Lansing office of the department .
