Mich. Admin. Code R. 299.9406 - Transporter vehicle requirements
Rule 406.
(1) A transporter shall carry a copy of the registration and permit, issued in accordance with act 138, and make it available for inspection upon request by the director or the director's designee.
(2) A transporter shall close or cover all vehicles or containers used to transport hazardous waste to prevent the escape of hazardous waste or hazardous waste constituents. A transporter shall keep the outside of all vehicles and accessory equipment free of hazardous waste or hazardous waste constituents.
(3) A transporter shall ensure that all portions of vehicles that have been in contact with hazardous waste are cleaned of any hazardous waste or hazardous waste constituents and purged of vapor before the transport of any products, incompatible waste, or non-waste material.
(4) A transporter shall protect hazardous waste in the transporter's possession from exposure to weather, fire, physical damage, and vandals.
