Mich. Admin. Code R. 325.10825 - Elevation of discharge from well casing; location of connection to well casing
Rule 825.
(1) For type I and type IIa public water supplies, a discharge from a well casing at an elevation less than 12 inches above the established ground surface is prohibited, except where an installation with an approved pitless adapter is permitted by the department.
(2) For type IIb and type III public water supplies, a connection to a well casing may be at least 12 inches above the floor of an approved basement offset, pump room, or well room, or the requirements of subrule (1) shall be met.
