Mich. Admin. Code R. 325.10826 - Construction and location of room housing pumping equipment or room housing top of well casing
Rule 826.
(1) For type I and type IIa public water supplies, a room housing pumping equipment or a room housing the top of a well casing, where used, shall be constructed above the established ground surface allowing access to the pump for maintenance or repair.
(2) For type IIb and type III public water supplies, a room housing pumping equipment may be located below the established ground surface if it is located in, or attached to, an approved basement or is drained to the ground surface by gravity.
