Mich. Admin. Code R. 325.2656a - Equipment Accuracy - Preliminary Breath Test Instrument
Rule 6a. An appropriate class operator who has been certified in accordance with R 325.2658 shall verify for accuracy a preliminary breath alcohol test instrument at least monthly, or more frequently as the department may require. The test for accuracy must be made using an alcohol standard that is approved by the department. For the preliminary breath alcohol test instrument to meet the requirements for accuracy, a test result not exceeding +/- 5% must be obtained when using a controlled device.
