Mich. Admin. Code R. 325.5224 - Caution signs, labels, and signals

Rule 224.

(1) Except as otherwise authorized by the department, symbols prescribed by Rules 224 to 231 shall use the conventional radiation caution colors (magenta or purple on yellow background). The symbol prescribed is the conventional three-bladed design as follows:

RADIATION SYMBOL

1. Cross-hatched area is to be magenta or purple.
2. Background is to be yellow.

(2) In addition to the contents of signs and labels prescribed in Rules 224 to 231, a licensee or registrant may provide on or near these signs and labels any additional information which may be appropriate in aiding individuals to minimize being exposed to radiation.
