Mich. Admin. Code R. 333.5611 - Contracts for technical evaluation
Rule 611.
(1)
In evaluating clinical image quality and acceptability for mammography
authorization, upon receipt of the information required in R 333.5610(1)(e),
the department may enter into any necessary contracts with mammography experts,
submit the images to those experts for technical evaluation, and rely upon
their expert evaluation in arriving at a department conclusion regarding image
quality and acceptability in terms of granting or not granting mammography
authorization.
(2) Technical
parameters that are used in evaluating clinical image quality and acceptability
pursuant to subrule (1) of this rule shall include judgments of all of the
following:
(a) Positioning.
(b) Compression.
(c) Radiation exposure and dose
level.
(d) Sharpness.
(e) Contrast.
(f) Noise.
(g) Exam identification.
(h) Artifacts.
