Mich. Admin. Code R. 339.18935 - Transportation of remains to crematory
Rule 35. Transportation of a dead human body to a crematory for cremation must only occur if all of the following requirements pertaining to the dead human body are met:
(a) The body is encased in a rigid container
for cremation that is resistant to leakage or spillage.
(b) The body is accompanied by authorization
from individuals who have the right of disposition authority in accordance with
section 3206 of the estates and protected individuals code, 1998 PA 386, MCL
700.3206, to cremate the
decedent.
(c) The body is
accompanied by a cremation permit endorsed by the county medical
examiner.
