Mich. Admin. Code R. 339.5215 - Reporting unregistered boilers

Rule 215.

(1) If a special inspector visits a location to conduct an inspection as required by these rules, then he or she shall report the location of all boilers that are not registered. This reporting is in addition to the reporting of the inspection of registered boilers and their installation. The chief inspector shall assign a deputy to visit the location to inspect all unregistered boilers and affix a Michigan serial number.
(2) If a special inspector inspects a boiler that does not bear a Michigan serial number, then the inspector shall attempt to verify whether the boiler is unregistered or is missing the Michigan serial number tag. If the inspector is unable to determine that the boiler is registered, he or she shall report it as prescribed in subrule (1) of this rule.
