Mich. Admin. Code R. 339.5217 - Inspection of components and systems in a nuclear power plant
Rule 217.
(1)
Preservice or baseline inspections; in service inspections; repairs;
replacements; modifications; alterations examinations; testing; records; and
reports of complete nuclear power plants and individual nuclear components,
parts, appurtenances, piping, supports, nuclear systems, and applicable
associated auxiliary systems that comply with all of the requirements of the
construction code ASME BPV Code, section III, when the requirements have been
completed, irrespective of the physical location, must be as prescribed in
section XI, rules for in service inspection of nuclear power plant components,
of the ASME boiler and pressure vessel code. A copy of the current edition of
section XI-2019, is available for inspection and purchase at the Michigan
Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Construction Codes,
611 W. Ottawa, Lansing, Michigan 48933, or for purchase from the ASME
International, Two Park Avenue, New York, New York 10016-5990, (800) 843-2763,
at a cost as of the time of adoption of these rules of $16,273.00 for the BPV
Code books.
(2) The owner of a
nuclear power plant shall file inspection plans and schedules, pump and valve
testing programs, and requests for relief from section XI of the ASME code
requirements with the departments boiler division.
(3) The nuclear power plant shall maintain
compliance with requirements, as prescribed by the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission.
