Mich. Admin. Code R. 390.1161 - CTE endorsements
Rule 61.
(1)
Subject to R 390.1167, the superintendent of public instruction may issue a CTE
endorsement on a standard, professional, or advanced professional teaching
certificate if the applicant has paid the applicable evaluation fee and the
department has received documentation of both of the following:
(a) An institution approved for the
preparation of CTE teachers recommends the applicant based on the applicant's
satisfactory completion of all program requirements, including a minimum of 6
semester credit hours or equivalent of CTE coursework.
(b) The applicant has 2 years of recent and
relevant experience, as defined by the superintendent of public instruction, in
the occupational area of the endorsement.
(2) Appropriate placement of an individual
holding a teaching certificate with a CTE endorsement is in the specified
occupational area in an approved CTE program, in an industrial technology
education program, grades 6 to 12, or in career pathway courses, grades 6 to
12.
