Mich. Admin. Code R. 400.3154 - Institutional status; eligibility for state disability assistance
Rule 4.
(1) A person
who is in an institution for more than 30 calendar days is not eligible for
state disability assistance.
(2) If
a person is placed in an institution, it is presumed that he or she will remain
there more than 30 calendar days unless a shorter stay is verified.
(3) Notwithstanding subrules (1) and (2) of
this rule, a person in any of the following institutions may be eligible for
state disability assistance if all other eligibility criteria are met:
(a) A home for the aged.
(b) A county infirmary.
(c) An adult foster care home.
(d) A substance abuse treatment
center.
(e) A department of
corrections contract facility for probationers.
(f) A technical institute and rehabilitation
center operated by Michigan rehabilitation services.
