Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.12640 - Milling
Rule 2640. When milling, all of the following provisions apply:
(a) Manual
adjustments or measurements at the point of operation shall be made only after
the tool and workpiece have stopped.
(b) Machine torque shall not be used to
loosen nuts.
(c) A chip guard shall
be installed between the point of operation and the operator and other
employees within range.
(d) The
workpiece shall be securely clamped before the table moves in the direction of
the cutter or the cutter moves to the workpiece.
