Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.17234 - Jacking and blocking
Rule 7234.
(1)
A vehicle being serviced, adjusted or repaired while the motor is running shall
have 2 wheels chocked from front and rear or parking brake set or other vehicle
restraint controls provided.
(2) An
employee shall not place his body under a vehicle supported only by a jack,
overhead hoist or chain fall. Safety stands having a yield point of not less
than 1 1/2 times its rated capacity shall be used to support the
vehicle.
(3) A jack shall not be
used to lift more than its rated capacity.
