Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.30459 - Elevators
Rule 459. Sections 1009.4 and 1607.11.1 of the code are amended to read as follows:
1009.4.
Elevators. To be considered part of an accessible means of egress, an elevator
shall comply with the emergency operation and signaling device requirements of
R 408.7001 to R 408.8695.
1607.11.1.
Elevators. Elevator loads shall be increased by 100% for impact and the
structural supports shall be designed within the limits of deflection
prescribed by R 408.7001 to R 408.8695.
