Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.41510 - Definitions; generally
Rule 1510.
(1)
"Competent person" means a person who is trained, experienced, and capable of
identifying existing or potential hazards in the surroundings or under working
conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who
has the authority to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate
them.
(2) "Operator" means a person
who is operating the equipment.
(3)
"Power lines" means electric transmission and distribution lines.
(4) "Qualified person" means a person who,
through attainment of a recognized degree or certificate of professional
standing or by extensive knowledge, training, and experience, has successfully
demonstrated the ability to solve or resolve problems relating to the subject
matter and work.
