Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.41977 - Metalworking machinery or equipment; maintenance and lubrication
Rule 1977. Any of the following methods shall be used to lubricate metalworking machinery or equipment:
(a) Manual lubrication when the machine can
be shut off and locked out.
(b) The
use of an automatic pressure or gravity feed system.
(c) The use of an extension pipe leading to
an area outside guards or away from any hazard.
(d) The use of a means which would provide
equal or greater protection to the employee than the methods specified in
subdivisions (a), (b), or (c) of this subrule.
