Mich. Admin. Code R. 408.7045 - Shutoff valves; gauge snaps; underground piping; tags
Rule 45. Section 3.19.4.1 of the ASME A17.1 code is amended to read as follows:
3.19.4.1 A
shutoff valve must be provided on a new or altered hydraulic elevator and be
installed in the pressure piping within the elevator machine room. If the
hoistway is remotely located from the machine room, then a shutoff valve must
also be provided in the elevator pit.
