Mich. Admin. Code R. 431.3090 - Horses; training hours; removal; age; breeding
Rule 3090.
(1) A
horse shall not be schooled in the paddock or taken onto a race course for
training or workout, other than during normal training hours posted by the
association, without the permission of the stewards.
(2) During a race meeting, a horse shall not
be removed from the grounds without notifying the stewards and unless released
by the racing secretary. A dead or sick horse shall not be removed from the
grounds without the prior approval of the official veterinarian or the
stewards.
(3) A maiden 7 years of
age or older shall not be entered or start unless it has less than 6 lifetime
starts.
(4) The name of a filly or
mare that has been covered by a stallion shall be so reported to the racing
secretary before being entered in a race. A list of all fillies and mares so
reported, showing the names of the stallions to which they have been bred,
shall be posted in the race office.
