Mich. Admin. Code R. 431.3305 - Scheduling of races for Michigan-bred horses
Rule 3305.
(1) At
least 1 race for Michigan-bred horses shall be scheduled on each full
thoroughbred program.
(2) Entries
may be accepted from non-Michigan-bred horses into the race for Michigan-bred
horses creating a pool of entries for a Michigan-bred preferred race.
(3) If an approved Michigan-bred horse race
does not fill by a time agreed upon by the racing secretary and designated CHO
representative, then the Michigan-bred preferred race may be substituted by the
racing secretary with the approval of the designated CHO
representative.
(4) Michigan-bred
supplements may be awarded in Michigan-bred preferred races to those
Michigan-bred horses finishing first, second, or third with the approval of the
director of the Michigan department of agriculture and rural development or his
or her designated representative.
