Mich. Admin. Code R. 431.4100 - Horse eligibility restrictions
Rule 4100.
(1) If
United States Trotting Association registration is properly applied for, a
horse may be permitted to race during the current year with an electronic
eligibility marked "registration applied for."
(2) A horse under the age of 2 or over the
age of 14 shall not be permitted to race at a race meeting licensed by the
executive director.
(3) A licensee
withholding a registration certificate from the owner or lessee of a horse,
after notification by the stewards has been made for the return thereof, may be
suspended until the certificate is returned.
(4) A horse that is owned wholly or in part
by, or is trained by, an ineligible or associated person is prohibited from
racing.
