Mich. Admin. Code R. 432.651a - Age and identity verification
Rule 651a.
(1) An
internet gaming operator or internet gaming platform provider must verify an
individuals identity before allowing that individual to create an internet
wagering account and place an internet wager.
(2) Only an individual who is 21 years of age
or older and not a prohibited person may create an internet wagering account,
deposit funds, or participate in internet wagering. The internet gaming
operator or internet gaming platform provider must deny the ability to create
an internet wagering account, deposit funds, or participate in internet
wagering to any individual who is under 21 years of age or is a prohibited
person. This subrule shall not be construed to prevent an individual from
creating an internet gaming account and depositing funds to such an account
even if they are prohibited from placing certain wagers.
(3) An internet gaming operator or internet
gaming platform provider must use commercially available and demonstrable
standards to confirm that an individual attempting to create an internet
wagering account is not a prohibited person.
(4) Third-party service providers may be used
for age and identity verification of individuals attempting to create internet
wagering accounts.
