Mich. Admin. Code R. 432.751a - Age and identity verification
Rule 751a.
(1) A
sports betting operator or internet sports betting platform provider must
verify an individuals identity before allowing that individual to create an
internet sports betting account and place an internet sports betting
wager.
(2) Only an individual who
is 21 years of age or older and not a prohibited person may create an internet
sports betting account, deposit funds, or participate in internet sports
betting wagering. The sports betting operator or internet sports betting
platform provider must deny the ability to create an internet sports betting
account, deposit funds, or participate in internet sports betting wagering to
any individual who is under 21 years of age or is a prohibited person. This
subrule shall not be construed to prevent an individual from creating an
internet sports betting account and depositing funds to such an account even if
they are prohibited from placing certain wagers.
(3) A sports betting operator or internet
sports betting platform provider must use commercially available and
demonstrable standards to confirm that an individual attempting to create an
internet sports betting account is not a prohibited person.
(4) Third-party service providers may be used
for age and identity verification of individuals attempting to create internet
sports betting accounts.
