Subpart 1.
IBC section 423.3.
IBC section 423.3 is amended as follows:
423.3
Critical emergency operations.
911 call stations, emergency operation centers, and fire, rescue,
ambulance, and police stations shall comply with Sections 423.3.1 and 423.3.2
if located in any of the following counties: Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Brown,
Carver, Chippewa, Chisago, Cottonwood, Dakota, Dodge, Faribault, Fillmore,
Freeborn, Goodhue, Hennepin, Houston, Isanti, Jackson, Kandiyohi, Lac qui
Parle, LeSueur, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, McLeod, Meeker, Mower, Murray, Nicollet,
Nobles, Olmsted, Pipestone, Ramsey, Redwood, Renville, Rice, Rock, Scott,
Sherburne, Sibley, Steele, Stearns, Swift, Wabasha, Waseca, Washington,
Watonwan, Winona, Wright, or Yellow Medicine.
423.3.1. 911 call stations, emergency
operation centers, and fire, rescue, ambulance, and police stations shall
comply with Table 1604.5 as a Risk Category IV structure.
423.3.2. 911 call stations, emergency
operation centers, and fire, rescue, ambulance, and police stations shall be
provided with a storm shelter constructed in accordance with ICC 500.

IBC section
423.4.
IBC section 423.4 is amended as follows:

Group E occupancies. All
Group E occupancies with an occupant load of 50 or more shall have a storm
shelter constructed in accordance with ICC 500 in the following counties:
Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Brown, Carver, Chippewa, Chisago, Cottonwood,
Dakota, Dodge, Faribault, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Hennepin, Houston,
Isanti, Jackson, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, LeSueur, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin,
McLeod, Meeker, Mower, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Olmsted, Pipestone, Ramsey,
Redwood, Renville, Rice, Rock, Scott, Sherburne, Sibley, Steele, Stearns,
Swift, Wabasha, Waseca, Washington, Watonwan, Winona, Wright, and Yellow
Medicine.
Exceptions:
1. Group E day care facilities.
2. Group E occupancies accessory to places of
religious worship.
3. Buildings
meeting the requirements for shelter design in ICC 500.
(IBC sections 423.4.1 and 423.4.2 remain unchanged.)
