A117.1 Section 805.9,
Escalators.
A117.1 Section 805.9 is
amended to read as follows:
805.9
Escalators. Where provided, escalators shall have a 32 inch (815
mm) minimum clear width, and shall comply with Requirements 6.1.3.5.6, Step
Demarcations, and 6.1.3.6.5, Flat Steps of ASME A17.1 as referenced in
Minnesota Rules, chapter 1307, Minnesota Elevator and Related Devices Code.
Exception: Existing escalators shall not be required to comply with Section 805.9.
Subp. 2.
A117.1 Section 805.10, Track
crossings.
A117.1 Section 805.10 is
amended to read as follows:
805.10
Track Crossings. Where a circulation path crosses tracks, it
shall comply with Section 402 and shall have a 24 inch (610 mm) deep detectable
warning complying with Section 705 along the full width of the circulation
path. The detectable warning surface shall be located so that the edge nearest
the rail crossing is 6 inches (150 mm) minimum and 8 inches (205 mm) maximum
from the vehicle dynamic envelope.
Exception: Openings for wheel flanges shall be permitted to be 2-1/2 inches (64 mm) maximum.
