Subpart 1.
Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to:
A. govern the administration of the child
care fund, to reduce, according to a sliding fee schedule, the costs of child
care services for eligible families to enable them to seek or retain employment
or to participate in education or training programs to obtain employment;
and
B. provide eligible families
with financial resources to find and afford quality child care supporting their
children's development, school readiness, and well-being. This chapter
establishes child care assistance eligibility and child care assistance
authorization standards for participants and registered child care providers
and administrative requirements for child care assistance program (CCAP)
agencies administering the child care fund.
Subp. 2.
Applicability.
This chapter applies to all CCAP agencies providing child care assistance services to eligible families, registered child care providers, and child care providers seeking to register for child care assistance under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 119B.
