Minn. R. agency 144, ch. 4731, MEDICAL USE OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL, pt. 4731.4407 - SUPERVISED INDIVIDUALS
A. A
licensee that permits the receipt, possession, use, or transfer of radioactive
material by an individual under the supervision of an authorized user, as
allowed under part 4731.4403, subpart 1, item B, subitem (1), must:
(1) in addition to the requirements under
part 4731.1020, instruct the supervised individual in the licensee's written
radiation protection procedures and written directive procedures, the
requirements of this chapter, and license conditions with respect to the use of
radioactive material; and
(2)
require the supervised individual to follow:
(a) the instructions of the supervising
authorized user for medical uses of radioactive material;
(b) the written radiation protection
procedures established by the licensee;
(c) the written directive
procedures;
(d) the requirements of
this chapter; and
(e) the license
conditions with respect to the medical use of radioactive material.
B. A licensee that
permits the preparation of radioactive material for medical use by an
individual under the supervision of an authorized nuclear pharmacist or
physician who is an authorized user, as allowed under part 4731.4403, subpart
1, item B, subitem (2), must:
(1) in addition
to the requirements under part 4731.1020, instruct the supervised individual in
the preparation of radioactive material for medical use, as appropriate to the
individual's involvement with radioactive material; and
(2) require the supervised individual to
follow:
(a) the instructions of the
supervising authorized user or authorized nuclear pharmacist regarding the
preparation of radioactive material for medical use;
(b) the written radiation protection
procedures established by the licensee;
(c) the requirements of this chapter;
and
(d) the license
conditions.
C. A licensee that permits supervised
activities under item A or B is responsible for the acts and omissions of the
supervised individual.
