1 Miss. Code. R. 14-8.05 - Assignment of Hearing Officer - Setting of Hearing
A. When a hearing
is requested or ordered, the Secretary of State shall, within fifteen (15) days
after receipt of the Request for Hearing or within fifteen (15) days of
ordering a hearing, designate a Hearing Officer.
B. The Hearing Officer shall issue a Notice
of Hearing which shall set the date, time, and place for the hearing on a date
agreed to by the parties, and which shall be sent certified mail, return
receipt requested, to each party.
C. A Notice of Hearing may be given
circulation by release to the public press.
