13 Miss. Code. R. 3-12.19 - Analysis Of Questioned Electronic Gaming Devices
(a) If
the operation of any electronic gaming device is questioned by any licensee,
patron or the Executive Director, the questioned device will be examined in the
presence of the Executive Director and a representative of the licensee. If the
malfunction cannot be cleared by other means to the satisfaction of the
Executive Director, the patron and the licensee, the electronic gaming device
will be subjected to an EPROM memory test to verify "signature" comparison by
the Executive Director.
(b) In the
event that the malfunction cannot be determined and corrected by this testing,
the electronic gaming device may be removed from service and secured in a
remote, locked compartment. The electronic gaming device may then be
transported to an industry-recognized laboratory selected by the Executive
Director where the device will be fully analyzed to determine the status and
cause of the malfunction. All costs for transportation and analysis must be
borne by the licensee.
