15 Miss. Code. R. 11-55-2.12.2 - Child Health
1. A child who is
suspected of having a serious contagious condition shall be isolated and
returned to the parent as soon as possible.
2. A child having a serious contagious
condition shall not be allowed to return to the child care facility until they
have been certified by a physician to be no longer contagious.
3. Parents of all children shall be notified
of a contagious illness in the child care facility as soon as
possible.
4. A child with a
physical injury shall be treated by a staff member with valid first aid
certificate issued by an agent recognized by the licensing authority. A child
with a serious physical injury shall be treated by a staff member with valid
first aid certificate issued by an agent recognized by the licensing authority
and transported to a hospital or medical facility as soon as
appropriate.
