15 Miss. Code. R. 18-77-5.1.9 - Septic Tank Sizing
The effective liquid capacity of septic tanks for dwellings shall be based on the number of bedrooms proposed or anticipated as shown in the table below:

For each additional bedroom add 260 gallons
For each additional occupant over 2 per bedroom add 130 gallons
For a nonresidential application, the septic tank will be sized at twice the estimated daily flow
