15 Miss. Code. R. 23-1-2.3.4 - Appeals Process
Applicants not awarded program funds may appeal the determination.
1. Within ten working
days of the notice of the denial of award, a written request must be submitted
by letter, on the organization's letterhead with the signatures of the
signatory authority. The letter must include evidence to support grounds for
appeal. The letter may be submitted via email to the OAIV Director.
2. Within forty-five days of the receipt of
appeal documentation, the OAIV Director will make an initial ruling for the
appeal.
3. Should the entity
appealing wish to have an additional level of review, the entity appealing the
decision of the OAIV Director must appeal to the State Health Officer within
ten working days of the determination of the OAIV Director. Decisions of the
State Health Officer are the final agency determination.
