18 Miss. Code. R. 14-12.1 - General Rule
A. As a condition of eligibility, each
non-exempt household member must comply with the following SNAP work
requirements:
1. Register for work at the time
of application and every 12 months after initial registration;
2. Participate in a workfare program if
assigned by MDHS;
3. Participate in
a SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) program if assigned by
MDHS;
4. Provide MDHS or its
designee with sufficient information regarding employment status or
availability of work;
5. Report to
an employer that was referred by MDHS or its designee if the potential
employment meets the suitability requirements;
6. Accept suitable employment for a wage that
is equal to or higher than the Federal or State minimum wage;
7. Do not voluntarily quit a job of 30 or
more hours or reduce hours to less than 30 hours per week without good
cause.
B. MDHS will
determine whether an individual is complying with SNAP work requirements.
Determining compliance must be comparable to determining compliance with the
TANF Work Program (TWP).
