18 Miss. Code. R. 14-18.6 - Optional Child Support Deduction
A. Mississippi has
taken the state option to provide a deduction rather than an income exclusion
for legally obligated child support payments (including payments towards child
support arrearages) paid by a household member to a non-household
member.
B. Alimony payments are not
included in the child support deduction.
