18 Miss. Code. R. 14-34.5 - Verifying Issuance and Household Misfortune
A. Upon
receiving a request for replacement benefits for food destroyed in a household
misfortune, MDHS must determine if the issuance was validly issued.
B. Prior to replacing the destroyed food that
was purchased with SNAP benefits, MDHS must verify that the destruction
occurred in a household misfortune or disaster, such as a fire or flood,
through a collateral contact, documentation from a community agency including
the fire department or the Red Cross, or a home visit.
