18 Miss. Code. R. 18-6.8 - Medical Notification of Designated Individuals
Prompt notification will be provided to a youth's parent, guardian, or the custodian in case of serious illness, surgery, major incident resulting in injury that requires medical care and treatment outside the facility or death. This includes cases where the youth was committed to OYDC while in the legal custody of the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services.
