19 Miss. Code. R. 2-15.04 - Appointment Requirements for Viatical Settlement Representatives
A viatical settlement representative, as defined in Miss. Code Ann. § 83-7-203(2) shallnot solicit a viatical settlement contract without first obtaining an appointment from a licensed viatical settlement provider or licensed viatical settlement broker.
A. The appointment
shall be made on a form required by the Commissioner.
B. The appointment shall be accompanied by a
fee of ten dollars ($10.00). The appointment may be renewed yearly by payment
of a fee of ten dollars ($10.00). Failure to pay the renewal fee within the
prescribed time may result in automatic expiration of the
appointment.
C. If the appointment
is revoked by either party, the appointing viatical settlement provider or
viatical settlement broker shall notify the Commissioner of the revocation
within thirty (30) days.
