19 Miss. Code. R. 8-1.13 - Renewal of License
(1) A license
issued by the Administrator shall be valid for two years. The Administrator may
renew a license, provided the applicant submits a written application for
renewal accompanied by the required fee prior to expiration of the
license.
(2) Applicants for license
renewal shall provide evidence, satisfactory to the Administrator, of
completion of eight hours of instruction approved by the Administrator,
designed to ensure the continued qualifications of the applicant.
(3) If a license is allowed to lapse, it may
be renewed at any point after its expiration date by:
(a) paying $25 in addition to the applicable
license renewal fee;
(b) proving
the applicant satisfies the licensing criteria needed to obtain such license;
and
(c) proving the completion of
continuing education requirements, if applicable.
(4) A licensee with an expired license is
considered an inactive licensee. An inactive licensee shall not work with an
expired license. Violation of this subsection may result in the assessment of
penalties detailed in Rule
1.36(1)(g) of this
Regulation.
