2 Miss. Code. R. § 1-3-02-107.02

Non-protein nitrogen defined in the Official Publication of the Association of American Feed Control Officials, when so indicated, is an acceptable ingredient in commercial feeds distributed to non-ruminant animals as a source of nutrients other than equivalent crude protein. The maximum equivalent crude protein from non-protein nitrogen sources when used in non-ruminant rations shall not exceed 1.25% of the total daily ration.
