23 Miss. Code. R. 207-3.4 - Admission Review
A. The Mississippi
Department of Mental Health (DMH) is responsible for conducting reviews of each
beneficiary's need for admission to an intermediate care facility for
individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IID).
B. An ICF/IID pre-admission form must be
completed no more than thirty (30) days prior to the admission of the
beneficiary to an ICF/IID and submitted with a copy of the current physical
examination, medical and social history, and the preliminary evaluation.
C. A physician must certify that
each applicant's or beneficiary's ICF/IID level of care criteria were met at
the time of admission. Recertification must be made at least every twelve (12)
months thereafter.
D. The
interdisciplinary team must prepare for each resident, within thirty (30) days
after admission, an individual program plan (IPP) that states the specific
objectives necessary to meet the beneficiary's needs. At least annually, the
comprehensive functional assessment of each beneficiary must be reviewed by the
interdisciplinary team for relevancy and must be updated and the IPP is revised
as needed.
