26 Miss. Code. R. 2-1.5 - TRANSFER OF PERMIT
(a) Each person who
succeeds to the rights under a permit shall, within ten (10) days after the
rights are acquired, notify the Board in writing thereof.
(b) Wells approved for unit operations under
a designated operator after notice and hearing by the Board shall be exempt
from payment of a second permit fee.
(c) In the event a change of operators from
that listed in the drilling permit is desired, the operator so listed and the
proposed new operator shall apply to the State Oil and Gas Board for authority
to change operators on Form 2. This can be designated on separate Form 2's or
both may sign the same Form 2. The change of operator fee of one hundred
dollars ($100) shall be paid by either party. If the administration of the
operation of a well is by an agent or other person(s), then all reports must be
filed in the name of the Oil and Gas Board designated owner or operator. A
letter to the supervisor of the Oil and Gas Board verifying the authority of
the person(s) filing the report to act as the agent of or on behalf of the Oil
and Gas Board designated owner or operator is required. The foregoing letter
must be filed with the supervisor and shall be either notarized or witnessed by
not less than two subscribing witnesses. The Oil and Gas Board designated owner
or operator is responsible for the operation of the well and filing of all
reports.
