27 Miss. Code. R. 110-4.2.2 - [Effective until 7/1/2025] When Applications Shall Be Filed

A. The MSPB Executive Director may establish procedures, which allow the following employees and/or applicants to file applications for Promotional Only Opportunities:
1. current employees with at least six (6) months of continuous service;
2. persons who were terminated from the state service due to a Reduction-in-Force (RIF) within the last twelve (12) months; and
3. former employees who left the state service in good standing within the past twelve (12) months, and who have completed at least six (6) months of continuous employment.
B. Applicants not meeting the criteria for the above must file an application during a period when the job classification is listed on MSPB's Job Opportunities List or via concurrent recruitment posting.
C. Applicants for jobs on open recruitment shall file all applications or resumes on or prior to the closing date specified in the announcement.
