27 Miss. Code. R. 110-5.1.1 - [Effective until 7/1/2025] Creation of New Job Families and Classifications
MSPB shall have the sole authority to create new job classifications. To discourage the proliferation of unnecessarily similar job classifications, requests for new job families shall be approved by MSPB only upon the production of compelling documentation in support of the need to create new classes. In the absence of compelling documentation, such requests shall result in the positions being assigned to already existing job classification in the MSPB's schedule of job classifications. The MSPB Executive Director, in his discretion, may authorize the creation of additional levels of workers within an existing family.
Notes
State regulations are updated quarterly; we currently have two versions available. Below is a comparison between our most recent version and the prior quarterly release. More comparison features will be added as we have more versions to compare.
