28 Miss. Code. R. 305-2.14 - Holidays
Employees at MSPA currently receive regular pay for ten (10) holidays. All employees shall observe the following designated holidays:
A. New Year's Day (First of
January)
B. Martin Luther
King's/Robert E. Lee's Birthday (Third Monday of January)
C. President's Day (Third Monday of February)
OR Mardi Gras (Tuesday before Ash Wednesday)
D. Good Friday (Friday before
Easter)
E. Memorial Day (Last
Monday of May)
F. Independence Day
(Fourth of July)
G. Labor Day
(First Monday of September)
H.
Veterans Day (Eleventh day of November)
I. Thanksgiving (Fourth Thursday of
November)
J. Christmas Day
(Twenty-Fifth Day of December)
K.
NOTE: If any holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, then the Executive Director
shall designate the day to be observed as a legal holiday.
L. The Executive Director may designate other
days as MSPA holidays that are appointed by the President or Governor for a
public feast, Thanksgiving, or holiday.
