30 Miss. Code. R. 2501-11.2 - Inspections
A. The Board or its agent(s) shall conduct
on-site inspections upon notification that massage therapy services are being
rendered. Notification may include but not be limited to the following sources:
1. The general public through any means of
advertising in any format; or
2. A
new or existing licensed massage therapist applies for a license or an LMT who
is renewing their license has identified the establishment as their place of
business; or
3. Notification by the
MSBMT office that LMT's are due for renewal within 90 days, or
4. Notification by the MSBMT office that
LMT's did not renew, go inactive or move to retired status 91 days after
expiration, or
5. Notification by
the MSBMT office that the license of an LMT has been suspended or
revoked.
6. Reapplication
(reactivation) received by Board office.
7. A location certificate is requested by a
LMT in an unlicensed location, not previously registered.
B. The inspection may be conducted within
ninety (90) days of the receipt of notification.
C. The inspection may be conducted for the
following purposes:
1. To ascertain whether or
not all massage therapists working on the premises are properly licensed and in
compliance with all Board regulations and statute.
2. To ascertain whether or not the
establishment is in compliance with MSBMT including but not limited to
equipment and sanitation requirements.
D. Follow-up inspections may be required at
the discretion of the Board.
