30 Miss. Code. R. 3103-1.5 - Temporary License
1. A temporary
license to practice as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant may
be granted to an applicant for licensure meeting the requirements of Part 3103
Rule
1.1 or
1.3 who has registered for the exam
in this state but has not taken the approved examination or has not received
the results of the examination, subject to the conditions of Rule1.5.
2. The Board may by rule provide
for the issuance of a temporary license to a physical therapist or a physical
therapist assistant licensed in another state and has filed an application with
the Board for a permanent license in this state. This temporary license will be
granted for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days.
3. During a lawfully declared local, state,
or national disaster or emergency, the Board may issue a temporary license to
any otherwise qualified physical therapist or physical therapist assistant
licensed and in good standing in another state or territory of the United
States and who meets such other requirements as the Board may prescribe by rule
and regulations.
