30 Miss. Code. R. 3103-6.2 - Summary Suspension
1. The Board may
summarily suspend a license without a hearing, simultaneously with the filing
of a formal complaint and notice of hearing, if the Board determines that:
a. The health, safety, or welfare of the
general public is in immediate danger; or
b. The licensee's physical capacity to
practice his/her profession is in issue; or
c. The licensee's mental capacity to practice
his/her profession is in issue.
2. If the Board summarily suspends a license,
a hearing must begin within twenty (20) days after such suspension begins,
unless continued at the request of the licensee.
